We just learned the true identity of Stella Marr. She apparently upset someone whom she knows and this person has shared that identity with a number of people who have subsequently made this information available to many others.
As we suspected all along, Stella is a fraud. The info we received about her is enough to validate this observation, and we are considering a lawsuit against her for slander and libel, although a public apology for her falsehoods would suffice.

Some woman claiming to have been a victim of a pimp who forced her into a life of prostitution as a high class call girl, giving herself the name "Stella Marr" has a blog on which she makes outrageous - and untrue- claims about sex worker rights activists like me. As an activist for the past 30 years since I left the LAPD in April of 1982, I do not in any way attempt to claim that there are NO victims in prostitution. I know that there are- and that those victims have seldom been listened to, especially by cops. Cops have a name for prostitute victims of homicide- they call them "NHIs" which stands for "No Humans Involved." This was one of the reasons that led me to leave the LAPD where I had worked for ten years, to become a prostitute and a prostitute's rights activist. I could not stand the moral hypocrisy that allowed cops to use the laws for their own sexual gratification- which they did and do because society doesn't seem to care HOW the cops enforce the law- just get those 'whores' off the street and punish them anyway they want. To be told by some airheaded twit that my 30 years of activism is not valid because the cops were able to set me up and accuse me of one count of pandering in order to prevent me from going forward with my book about police corruption is unconscionable. But this is how these abolitionists work. They do not allow any voices which do not also proclaim the 'horrors of all prostitution.' So, like all those other radical leftist feminists who cannot abide anyone who contradicts them, the best way to silence us is to discredit us anyway they can... make up stuff... whatever it takes to make sure that OUR voices do not get out there to the media or the colleges and universities. Revise our history and lie about us. Which is exactly what this person calling herself Stella Marr has done.
The title of "Stella Marr's" piece presents everyone in her article as pimps, even though there is proof to the contrary that this is not so. She usually posts a photo of herself which is how we confirmed her true identity. She disallows ANY comments on her site which are contrary to her own philosophy, which is her right. It is, after all, her space and I do not deny she has a right to have a space in which the truth is forbidden and where she can spread her lies. But lies have consequences, and hers- and those of her sycophants, are especially egregious.
Why is it that prostitution abolitionists feel so compelled to lie about sex worker rights activists instead of talking with us about the merits of decriminalizing consenting adult prostitution? They seem to understand that the police are not our allies- so why do they want to continue to entrust the lives of the vulnerable to the men and women in uniform who have shown so often they cannot be trusted to help prostitutes? Are they unaware that the present situation makes those who are most vulnerable even MORE vulnerable? That when someone who is also considered an outlaw needs help has no one to turn to because the police will threaten to arrest the prostitute unless the prostitute offers the cop a 'free sample' or become an informant for the cop. Even Stella understands there is a long history of cops using the prostitution laws as extortion tools... especially when the cops have laws which allow them to allege the prostitute committed a felony crime of pimping or pandering rather than the prostitution misdemeanor- with the mandatory prison time if the prostitute refuses to cooperate. Any and every prostitute can be charged with a felony rap of pandering or pimping if the cop feels inclined to lie in their report and on the stand should the alleged prostitute decide to take her/his case to trial. It's called 'report-a-lying' and 'testilying' and cops do it all the time. California law allows the police to arrest a person if the police allege that the 'suspected prostitute' intended to commit prostitution...
653.22. (a) It is unlawful for any person to loiter in any public place with the intent to commit
prostitution. This intent is evidenced by acting in a manner and under circumstances which openly
demonstrate the purpose of inducing, enticing, or soliciting
prostitution, or procuring another to commit prostitution. -
public place includes in a vehicle whether moving or not...
This requires an act of furtherance, for which the police use the possession of condoms as evidence that a suspected prostitute possesses the intent to commit prostitution. If abolitionists really had the best interest of prostitutes at heart (which they don't) they would vehemently oppose the use of condoms as evidence, because it puts sex workers at risk of HIV, AIDs and other STDS... but THEY DON'T CARE... their agenda of abolishing all prostitution- whatever the cost to prostitutes- takes precedence over our health or the risk of being raped/ extorted/ abused by law enforcement agents. Even if prostitutes get raped while incarcerated- that is acceptable to these people. And prostitutes of every age get raped while in custody- usually by the staff.
So what do the abolitionists want? They want to impose a system like the one in Sweden where the prostitute is no longer a criminal but her clients are. They seem to think that by switching the focus from prostitutes to the men who make it possible for us to pay our bills they are somehow going to eliminate the problem of police abuse. Rather than threaten the prostitute with arrest, the cops simply threaten to arrest the clients of the prostitute if the prostitute doesn't cooperate and give the nice officer "free samples." (see the vignettes below)
Perhaps Stella cannot help being a liar... after all, if she was truly a 'victim' of some evil pimp as she claims, undoubtedly she was forced to take drugs and those drugs obviously fried her brain... she has no awareness that she is a liar and is psychologically incapable of comprehending or speaking the truth... Or I suppose it is possible that because of the PTSD that undoubtedly she suffers (as Dr. Melissa Farley claims all prostitutes suffer from PTSD due to taking money for having sex with men whom we could otherwise legally have for free and with as many men as we wanted without becoming victims, and of course Dr. Farley would NEVER lie...), the high dose of medication she must have to take to keep her psychotic disorder under control is also known to cause a person to lose touch with reality (such as the case of Officer Anthony Orban who went bonkers two years ago and at gun point kidnapped and raped a waitress, and is currently on trial using the defense that he was 'unconscious' during his 'break from reality' because of his PTSD and the meds he was given)... so in either case, she can claim that she is not responsible for lying about us sex worker rights activists... poor dear... that's what drugs will do to a person and why I have never done drugs! I hope she recovers her sanity soon, although given her pathetic tale, it is doubtful that she can ever get over her disorder. But that does not excuse her and she must be called out on her lies, whether or not she can comprehend that she is lying.

Douglas Fox, the main ‘activist’ at the International Union of Sex Workers, claims to be a male sex worker. But he and his partner John Dottery were featured as the owners of a large UK escort agency in the British documentary ‘The Escort Agency.’ On a website he co-edits Fox states his partner owns an escort agency and argues ridiculously that pimps are ‘sex workers.’ He also states ” The fact that paedophiles produce and distribute and earn money from selling sex may make them sex workers.”
The first so-called ‘sex worker activist’ group in the United States was Whores, Housewives and Others (WHO) which eventually became COYOTE. It was founded by Margo St. James, who like Douglas Fox claimed to be a prostitute when she was actually a pimp. She’s admitted to being convicted of running a disorderly house – a brothel – in 1962.
The Sex Workers’ Outreach Project USA (SWOP USA) was founded by Robyn Few the year after she was convicted of conspiracy to promote interstate prostitution. This means that like St. James, Few was also a madam, a female pimp. As a survivor of ten years of prostitution myself [REALLY? CAN YOU PROVE THIS? OR ARE YOU LYING HERE AS WELL, SINCE YOU ARE SO COMFORTABLE WITH LYING ABOUT OTHER PEOPLE?] , I would never feel safe around a madam. Most women in prostitution wouldn’t.[REALLY? YOU HAVE INTERVIEWED MOST PROSTITUTES AND THIS IS WHAT THEY TOLD YOU?] Such an organization can’t speak for us. Few calls herself a ‘sex worker’ most of the time so the conflict of interest isn’t obvious. But the SWOP website makes a point of acknowledging her conviction for promoting interstate prostitution. Why? Because pimps across the country are using SWOP to connect with Johns while they recruit vulnerable young women. This isn’t activism, it’s marketing while lobbying for pimp interests. SWOP USA isn’t the only ‘sex worker activist’ organization founded by a female pimp. The Erotic Service Providers Union is led by Maxine Doogan who was convicted of running an escort service. Like Robyn Few, Maxine Doogan poses as a ‘sex worker. She claims that legislation which helps pimps is good for women in prostitution. Terri Jean Bedford, who was widely represented in the Canadian media as an advocate of women in prostitution, was convicted of running a brothel. So she’s also a pimp.

No wonder SWOP -USA, COYOTE, The Erotic Services Providers’ Union, the International Union of Sex Workers as well as their partners and affiliates which include the Desiree Alliance, the Red Umbrella Project, and Prostitutes of New York (PONY) support policies that protect pimps rather than women in prostitution. PONY actually claims to “reach out” to Madam members.

Incisive analysis, according to the time-honored proverb, “Follow the money” and its corollary question Cui bono? (who benefits?). Conflict of interest is key and central here. Something always smelled off to me about these organizations, and you’ve zeroed in on it. Bosses don’t (can’t) represent the interests of workers, and that goes double for this “work” that is pure exploitation. Excellent blog, which I continue to read with interest. In challenging a female-pimp, I was told I was crazy if I thought violence against prostitutes defined the industry. When I pointed out that the pimp in question (@Maggie_Mcneill) only glamorizes prostitution and never points out any of the risks to the women that are prostituted she said she was done with my “hate-spewing”. Oddly enough, that Norma Jean lady got into an online go-round with a few cartoonists I know (over a cartoon that was a parody of a graphic novel written by a john, FWIW). If ever you needed proof of this- look no further than Stella Marr's blog. In calling for all colleges, universities and the media to disallow our voices to be heard, can it be more obvious that this? The truth is not allowed! We don't' dismiss the voices of those who are or have been victims, why do they dismiss ours?
Stella, Stella, Stella! You old prevaricator you! You must have annoyed someone besides us sex worker rights activists because the information being disseminated about you is very personal... as though someone knows you and your husband intimately. Some of the allegations indicate that there may be fraud involved in your marriage; is that true? I don't think any of your accounts were hacked- however you might want to investigate why someone would want to divulge such personal details such as your 'husband' thinks you are crazy and you became "Stella Marr" to get back at him.
Anyway, your true identity was passed through many channels before it reached me. Someone made certain that I become aware of your real identity because they knew how much time and energy you put into your vile and fallacious attacks on me. While I would love to take credit for publicly exposing you to all those who were also victims of your lies, unfortunately it wasn't me.
After your last vitriolic tirade against sex worker activists in which you claimed we are all pimps (among other fabrications), I really wanted to file a lawsuit against you, but because we did not know your real name, I gave up the idea of suing you for slander. That has changed now, thanks to someone who apparently knows you too well.
Should you decide to 'take action' against me, it will give me the chance to publicly out you as the liar you are; and it would be the opportunity of a lifetime to discredit the fraud that is "Stella Marr." I have no idea who distributed that personal information, but I am truly thankful to them, whoever they are.

He previously advised that if I could find out who you were, I could file a lawsuit against you for slander and libel. Honestly I don't have the time or energy to do so. When one of our colleagues asked her why she did not want to reveal her true identity, she claimed that she was protecting her husband because he was hiding from the ex- soviet/ russian mafia. However, when someone is hiding from a gang of thugs like that, it would be foolish of them to have a website in their real name, and include a photo of themselves, with one's home address, work and home phone number, email address and other personal information on a public website... anyone who had his name could find it without breaking a sweat. So that too, was a lie.
