FYI: Everything on our
site is fully documented with links
to the original source. While we are
quite aware that the folks at the
FBI Bureau of Justice Statistics
don't seem to be able to coordinate
their statistics- and the numbers in
their tables often conflict with
other tables for the exact same
'crime' or data sets- there is no
other valid source for this
information. If their data isn't
good enough to show the statistics
of numbers of arrests, crimes and
ages of arrestees, then what would
be? Yes, there can be political
reasons for arresting or not
arresting individuals, as well as
charging arrested persons with less
serious criminal charges (i.e.
reducing a solicitation charge to
a disorderly conduct charge),
but there are currently no other
sources for this information. If it
doesn't come from a government
source, the statistics involving
persons of any age or gender alleged
to be in prostitution presented by a
group or individual can only be
'guesstimates' based on speculation
and flights of fantasy, not on
'facts.' So an academic,
statistician or mathematician cannot
present statistics that are any more
'reliable' or 'valid' than the ones
we present on our site. You are free
to check ALL our numbers using the
links to the government websites- in
fact, we highly encourage you to do
so.
This page is part of our
reference library. Its purpose is to
provide documentation, information,
data and statistics with links to the
original source articles, tables and
reports where we found the
information- which is primarily from
the US Government.
You may notice that there are
no statistics giving the number of
persons convicted of any of the
reported crimes, be it rape, domestic
violence or prostitution related
'crimes.' If you know of any websites
where this information can be found,
please do contact us at the email
address below.
Use this reference
material to counter the absurd
arguments and fictitious claims of
the prostitution abolitionists of
the religious right and the left. If
you have any suggestions on how to

The FBI
statistics and
reports presented
on this page show a much different
pictureof the numbers of
persons who are actually victims of
human trafficking, regardless of their
age. The numbers of minors who are
arrested each year for prostitution or
related offenses such as disorderly
conduct are so far removed from the
'guesstimates' given by the faith
based organizations (victim pimps)
that one wonders why these people
aren't charged with fraud and perjury.
Sex worker rights activists do not
expect that the public will take our
word for it that these numbers cited
by those with a political agenda are
not only highly inflated but purposely
misleading to generate income for
their grand plan to 'eradicate' all
commercial sex.
We believe that there is no better way to prove that the
numbers of sex trafficking victims
as postulated by the prostitution
abolitionists and so called 'anti-
traffickers' are complete falsehoods
than to use the government's
own statistics- collected and posted on their
websites. This page is dedicated to
helping those who are interested in
learning the truth, to find the
source of the statistics in the
multi- year spreadsheets, graphs and
charts we compiled using the
government data, reports and
records.

ON THIS PAGE:
STATISTICS/ DATA FROM 1981
TO 2012/2013 [WITH
LINKS TO ORIGINAL SOURCES, DOCUMENTS,
REPORTS] OF
ACTUAL ARRESTS, CRIMES REPORTED AND
OTHER RELEVANT DATA PRESENTED AS CHARTS, GRAPHS
AND MULTI- YEAR SPREADSHEETS. THESE
DOCUMENTS SHOW THE NUMBERS OF ARRESTS AND AGES OF PERSONS ARRESTED [*MALE,
FEMALE- ADULT AND CHILD] FOR
PROSTITUTION AND DISORDERLY CONDUCT, AS
WELL AS CONTAIN COMPARISONS TO NUMBERS
OF VICTIMS OF DOMESTIC VIOLENCE, RAPES
AND ARRESTS FOR RAPES/ CHILD SEX
TRAFFICKING VICTIM RESCUE EFFORTS.
ALL OF OUR MULTI- YEAR
SPREADSHEETS, GRAPHS AND CHARTS ON
THIS PAGE WERE COMPILED USING THE
DATA AND STATISTICS FROM
THE FBI
BUREAU OF JUSTICE STATISTICS. A LIST OF
THE VARIOUS TABLES WHICH WERE
USED TO COMPILE EACH MULTI- YEAR
SPREADSHEET, GRAPH OR CHART CAN
BE FOUND IN THE LAST SECTION OF
THIS PAGE .
THESE
ARE NOT OUR 'ESTIMATES'
OR 'STATS'- BUT ARE
STATISTICS PUBLISHED BY
THE US GOVERNMENT. IF
YOU HAVE A PROBLEM WITH
THE NUMBERS ON OUR
SPREADSHEETS- TAKE IT UP
WITH THE GOVERNMENT.
Although
most of this data is available for
years prior to 1981, the analysis of
government statistics over a period
of 30 plus years, 1981-
2012- ought to be
sufficient to prove the scope of the
lies, hysteria and outrageous claims
made by prostitution abolitionists/
victim pimps of the far left and
religious right, as well as the
fabricated claims of pandering
politicians, the compliant media and
the US Government itself -in the
thoroughly misguided and extremely
harmful attempt to 'eradicate' all
consenting adult commercial sex.
Anyone who believes that
prostitution will ever be
'abolished' need only look at the
government's 'success' with its
previous and current wars against
other 'vices'- from alcohol
prohibition, drugs, homosexuality,
abortion, gambling etc. to see that
these vices are never going away and
the costly and futile attempts to
eliminate them has and will always
result in the corruption of law
enforcement and the criminal justice
system, as well as great harm to
those whom the government penalizes
for daring to challenge the
government's authority to control
our lives and our bodies.
*Currently the US
Government does not recognize any
other gender than 'male' and
'female,' so there is no method to
determine how many arrests
were of persons 'outside' those two
'acceptable' genders.

were used because they contain more of
the information related to our

GUIDE TO USING
OUR LINKS, CHARTS, SPREADSHEETS ETC.
Each year, the
government collects all the statistics
and data from every state and then sorts
this information using different
criteria, such as by age, by gender, by
city and state, by urban and suburban
populations to create its tables and
reports, and in some of its tables, it
compares data/ statistics from previous
years in segments of 1, 5 and 10 years.
Therefore, it has a significant number
of tables in its various sections,
containing some of the same information
but presented in different categories. A
list of all the tables in each section
and a summary of what each table
contains can be found here (the
links below are to the 2012 tables
and statistics; the same information
is available for all previous years
by searching for the year as follows
"Crime in the United States- 2011"
etc.):
Our primary
interest is in the numbers of reported
crimes of violence such as rape,
sexual assault, domestic and
intimate partner violence, and
the reported number of arrests for rape,
sexual assault, prostitution and
disorderly conduct, drug use and
other 'vice' crimes. For
easier reference, we highlighted only
the above categories on most of the
downloaded spreadsheets, and deleted
most other crime statistics which are
not relevant to our research. You can
view the entire documents with all of
the list of crimes and arrests at the FBI
Bureau of Justice Statistics website
and the FBI.gov Crime Stats website
for the year and table number you wish
to access.
In the page below,
we link to only the tables, reports and
summaries from which we took their data
for our spreadsheets, based on the type
of information we were seeking. This
page was created to assist you in
finding those documents/ tables/ reports
to confirm the statistics we present
here.
The FBI changed its
formatting and record keeping through
the years, which, in some cases, made it difficult
to find the annual information that
pertains to this issue. It is not easy
to put all this information together in
a comprehensive and simple to navigate
page, and most likely we will be
re-arranging this page as we receive
feedback from users.

WITHOUT GRAPHS AND CHARTS,
IT ISN'T AS EASY TO SEE HOW MANY

ARRESTED. THE BUBBLEGRAPH BELOW

MULTIPLE YEAR SPREADSHEETS
ARE NECESSARY TO PUT THE BASIC
NUMBERS OF CRIMES, ARRESTS, AGES

CONTEXT AND SHOW WHETHER OR NOT
THE NUMBERS ARE CONSISTENT YEAR

|
BY PUTTING ALL THE DATA
AND STATISTICS INTO SPREADSHEETS,
WE CAN THEN COMPARE STATS OF ONE
TYPE OF ACTIVITY WITH ANOTHER AND
ASK RELEVANT QUESTIONS SUCH AS WHY
SOME VICTIMS ARE MORE IMPORTANT TO
PROTECT THAN OTHERS:
|
IT IS EASY FOR THOSE WITH
AN AGENDA TO MAKE CLAIMS ABOUT
ALLEGED VICTIMS WHEN NO ONE HAS
THE RAW DATA TO CHALLENGE THEIR 'GUESSTIMATES,' WHICH
IS WHY HAVING SPREADSHEETS WITH
GOVERNMENT STATISTICS AND WHICH
COVER A SIGNIFICANT TIME PERIOD IS
SO IMPORTANT:
|
THE NUMBER OF ARRESTS OF ADULT OR
JUVENILE PROSTITUTES
DOES NOT REFLECT THE ACTUAL NUMBER
OF PERSONS IN PROSTITUTION, BUT IN
A CRIMINALIZED SYSTEM, THERE IS ABSOLUTELY
NO WAY TO
KNOW HOW MANY THERE ARE, WHICH IS
WHY IT IS SO EASY FOR
ABOLITIONISTS TO MAKE UNVERIFIABLE
'GUESSTIMATES'

OVERVIEW
OF THIS PAGE:
WHY: [COMMENTARY] The
US Government provides a wealth of
information relating to actual
statistics, reported crimes and
arrests for a variety of criminal
offenses. If one takes the time to
peruse their websites, one can
find all sorts of interesting
statistics which disprove the
histrionic allegations of the
prostitution abolitionists/ anti-
trafficking/ victim pimp crusaders
like the Polaris Project (among
the many, many faith based victim
pimp 'rescue and restore'
organizations vying for the public
handout). If only journalists
would be thorough in their
investigation of this issue and
get their facts straight, they
would stop repeating the same old
tired fabrications that have
circulated since the last anti-
sex-trafficking campaign a century
ago.
The
stories become less and less
credible as sports events and
other gatherings of
'testosterone-overdosed men and
their would-be sex slaves' draws
these zealots into a frenzy of
'social activism' as this January
17, 2014 Christianpost.com article
by alleged journalist
and pedophile priests/
evangelical predators apologist Alex
Murashko: "You've
read the devastating
statistics (An estimated 27
million are enslaved in the
world today; Approximately 80
percent of human trafficking
victims are women and are
children (boys and girls);
human trafficking is the
fastest growing criminal
industry in the world-second
only to drug trafficking.),"
states Calvary Chapel on its
website. "But did you know
that this epidemic is running
rampant at one of the largest
sporting events in the world?" BUT
IT ISN'T TRUE AT ALL! SO
WHY DO YOU NOT FACT
CHECK RATHER THAN
CONTINUE TO SPEW THESE
LIES TO THE GULLIBLE
PUBLIC? Murashko quotes
from the Calvary Chapel website: "As
we gear up for Super Bowl
festivities on Feb. 2,
there's a grim reality
veiled behind the hype of
this iconic sporting event: human sex
trafficking. As hundreds of thousands of
sports fans descend upon New
Jersey and the surrounding
area, traffickers are among
them. And they're not coming
to watch the game," the post
on the church's website
continues. "They're coming
to buy and sell human
beings, most
of which are underage
girls. The horror doesn't just
masquerade itself within the
weekend revelries – it goes
on for weeks and months
after the game clock has run
out."
EXCUSE
ME... BUT WHERE IS THE PROOF? TO
WHAT UNDERAGE GIRLS DO YOU
REFER? BECAUSE SURELY IF THOSE
'UNDERAGE GIRLS' WERE OUT THERE
THE FBI AND LOCAL COPS WOULD
FIND THEM, WOULDN'T THEY???? BUT
SO FAR, EVERY SINGLE EVENT AT
WHICH THE 'SEX
TRAFFICKING' HYSTERIA HAS
REARED ITS UGLY LYING HEAD, THOSE GIRLS
NEVER MATERIALIZE...
EVER... AND IT ISN'T BECAUSE OF
YOUR CRUSADE- IT'S BECAUSE THEY
JUST AREN'T OUT THERE BEING
'BOUGHT AND SOLD'...
and why is the Catholic Church- of
all institutions filled with
pedophile priests and those who
cover up their crimes-
participating in this at all? Or
the Evangelicals, whom Billy
Graham's grandson says the sex
abuse among those evangelicals
is even worse than that of the
Catholic Church...
The article continues "During
this year's Super Bowl, 'a
large network of religious
women and men and varying
congregations,' including an
alliance of Roman Catholic
institutional investors in
greater New York, which use
their influence to address
social concerns, will
focus on human trafficking,
according to NJ.com...'" We
say- why not address the more
pressing concerns about those
priests and the bishops and
archbishops who cover up for
their multitude of crimes
against children? As
the LA Times notes "Archbishop
(later Cardinal) Roger M.
Mahony and a top advisor
plotted to conceal child
molestation by priests from
law enforcement, including
keeping them out of California
to avoid prosecution..." That
would be hundreds of cases of
victims of pedophile priests
whom CARDINAL Mahony wanted to
protect because exposure of
those crimes was a threat to his
'agenda,' priests who
were deliberately transferred
from one parish to another to
keep them from being prosecuted
for their crimes of molesting
the very children whom
this tenth rate journalist and
others like him believe are going
to be kidnapped and forced into
the sex trade to become sex
trafficking victims at the Super
Bowl... isn't the sex abuse of
children by priests and
evangelicals of any 'social
concern' for those who are
rallying around a primarily non-
existent problem? [When 3,900 federal, state and
local law enforcement agents
in 76 cities over three days
can only find 105 child
victims to rescue (that's 37.1
agents per child rescued, 1.4
child victims per city) can
that really be as big a problem
as priests and preachers,
teachers and cops molesting
childrenand
no one caring?]
As Wired
journalist Alexander Abad- Santos
says in his January 6, 2014
article "The
Super Bowl Sex-Trafficking
Story That Just Won't Die" ... "With
Super Bowl XLVIII on the
horizon, it's now time for the
annual "here come the
prostitutes" story,
an annual exercise is
fear-mongering over a threat
that never materializes. Stop us
if you've heard this one before.
Because you probably have. The
same story was written about the
Super Bowl host city in 2011 and
again 2010 and again 2009 ...
and again before
basically every Super Bowl in
living memory. (The
Super Bowl has even been called
the single
largest human trafficking
incident in the United
States.) Every
city that hosts the NFL title
game goes through this, but
there's one problem with the
narrative. It
isn't exactly true.....
In 2012, The
Houston Press's Peter Kotz thoroughly
tore apart that story,
explaining that law enforcement
officials in the cities where
past Super Bowls occurred never actually
saw increases in
prostitution busts or the
number of trafficked
prostitutes, even despite
increased efforts to catch
johns, pimps, and
traffickers. "We
didn't see a huge influx in
prostitutes coming into Tampa.
The arrests were not a lot
higher. They were almost the
same," a Tampa police
spokeswoman said in 2009, and a
police spokesperson in Phoenix
said in 2008 that there was
nothing out of the ordinary: "We
may have had certain precincts
that were going gangbusters
looking for prostitutes, but
they were picking up your
everyday street prostitutes,"
and not foreign women "imported"
for the event.
Further, the Global Alliance
Against Traffic in Women (GAATW)
— which has a vested interest in
promoting this topic — said in a
reportthat there's NO
correlation between
sporting events and a
rise in prostitution. "There is no
evidence that large sporting
events cause an increase in
trafficking for prostitution,"
the organization concluded. They
also included this table which
looked at the world's biggest
sporting events, and the lack of
evidence to back what they
essentially say is a "myth." The
history of those events make
this year's
claims of trafficking even
harder to believe and bring up
questions of the gullibility of
the media. The "Super Bowl =
prostitutes" story begins to
look more and more like a lazy
journalistic trope or an urban
legend. Or more cynically, a
cheap attempt by some local
politician using the Super Bowl
media blitz to score points by standing
up to the menace of sex work..."
But
hey, who would know more about
this? A so called 'journalist'
who can't bother to fact check
his story before he spreads more
lies, or someone from the Global
Alliance Against Traffic in
Women? Or even the cops and the
FBI agents who monitor this
stuff?
"Top
FBI agent in Dallas praises
Super Bowl security effort,
sees no evidence of expected
spike in child sex
trafficking..." "The
top FBI agent in Dallas on
Wednesday praised the massive
effort to keep residents and
thousands of out-of-towners
safe during Super Bowl XLV...
Speaking at a gathering of the
North Texas Crime Commission,
Robert Casey Jr. gave security
preparations for the Feb. 6
game an “A-plus” grade,
crediting the “tremendous
coordination” by many
agencies.
Among
those preparations was an
initiative to prevent an
expected rise in sex
trafficking and child
prostitution surrounding
the Super Bowl. But
Casey, special agent
in charge of the FBI’s
Dallas office, said he saw
no evidence that the
increase would happen, nor
that it did. “In my
opinion, the Super Bowl
does not create a spike in
those crimes,”
he said. “The discussion gets
very vague and general. People
mixed up child prostitution
with the term human
trafficking, which are
different things, and then
there is just plain old
prostitution.”
Why is
it so much easier for people to
believe these lies than it is to
believe the truth? Because people WANT there
to be victims of sex trafficking?
Because people NEED a boogeyman?
Because they would rather that the
boogeyman NOT be someone whom their
children look up to and 'respect'
like cops or priests? From the 2011
sex trafficking 'threat'- "Super
Bowl prostitution: 100,000
hookers didn't show, but
America's latest political scam
did..." "Had elected
officials done even the
slightest research, they would
have known it was myth. But
this had little to do with
protecting women and children. Think
of it as a combination religious
revival and political scam..." Unfortunately,
neither the politicians OR the
media can't be bothered to do any
research on something they KNOW
will get them readers AND
voters... because who
wouldn't be against 'sex
trafficking' of women and
children? The
article continues: "Before
every big game, church bells
ring of a massive hooker
invasion. Incurious newspapers
parrot the claims; a five-minute
Google search being too much
trouble. Then politicians and
activists climb aboard... The
recipe for civic panic is placed
in the oven, set for baking to a
charred husk... Yet when each
event ends with just a handful
of arrests, police
admit the invasion was nothing
more than myth. The
panic whimpers away to
seclusion, only to resurrect
itself just in time for the next
big show...."
It
is understandable that these
bizarre claims were repeated ad
nauseam 100 years ago, given
that there was no internet and
certainly no government
department which gathered such
information and made it publicly
available. This is not the case today
and journalists
have no excuse for failing
to do their due diligence to
find and report the truth. Next
time you read one of their
articles in which they fabricate
numbers of hundreds or thousands
of 'sex trafficking' victims-
ask them where they got those
statistics... and where is the
proof of those 'estimates.' Then
refer them to the FBI website
and show them that those numbers
they print in their poorly
researched (by
which we mean no research
whatsoever) articles
cannot be confirmed anywhere and
are in fact disproved BY the FBI
arrest statistics.
POST
SUPERBOWL 2014- HOW MANY
CHILDREN WERE
'RECOVERED/ RESCUED/
ARRESTED? According
to the FBI, 45 different
agencies, 50 law
enforcement agents in 4
states 'recovered' 16
children (ages 13 to 17),
arrested 45 'pimps' and
their 'associates' (meaning
that each alleged pimp once
again had the services
of .35 child- not a very lucrative
venture, for sure!) Somehow,
the 10,000 or more children
and adult women who were
supposed to show up for this
event did not get their
invitation and didn't make
it this time. Oh well, maybe
next year.... http://www.fbi.gov/news/pressrel/press-releases/sixteen-juveniles-recovered-in-joint-super-bowl-operation-targeting-underage-prostitution CBS
news coverage here "The FBI’s Super Bowl
operation efforts are part
of the Innocence Lost
National Initiative that
was established in 2003.
The initiative is
responsible for recovering
more than 3,100 children.
The investigations and
subsequent 1,400
convictions have resulted
in lengthy sentences,
including 11 life terms
and the seizure of more
than $3.1 million in
assets, according to the
release..." Hmm,
over the 11 years it has
been in operation, that
averages 281 recoveries per
year, 127 convictions per
year, $281,818 assets
seized per year (and how
much did these operations
cost the taxpayers?) which
amounts to about $2,214 per
convicted pimp.... a PHENOMENAL
SUCCESS FOR SURE! (and
to think there are 100,000
to 300,000 child victims
forced into prostitution
every year... too bad they
can't be found despite the
valiant efforts of all
those victim pimp agencies
and law enforcement
agents!)
And
here's an interesting
development out of Arizona
and (McCain
Institute) Cindy
McCain's funded
project at the
Arizona State University
School of Social Work (run
by 'victim pimp'
professor Dominique Roe
Sepowitz who
is training even more
little 'victim pimps' -
her mindless students who
believe every word of her
nonsense and go out to
'rescue' the poor
trafficking victims in
their 'Project Rose'
program where 'victims'
are offered "Jail or
Jesus")- just weeks
after the 2014 Superbowl,
she and her little bright
and shiny 'rescue'
ghouls have put together
their 'study' on the sex
trafficking situation
during the Superbowl. Most research takes
months or even years to
complete and be able to
present credible evidence
of their theories, unless
of course you are a
'victim pimp' whose every
word isgospel to the
media and
fellow 'victim pimps.'
"Each
day between Jan. 24 and Feb. 2, researchers found between 201
and 459 online ads involving prostitution in the
New York and New Jersey
area. The study compared
those results to Phoenix
during the same period: 132
to 275 ads each day.
"As you can see, there are
a significant number of
ads being placed
online to sell sex,"
said Dominique
Roe-Sepowitz, the study's
author and director of
ASU's Office of Sex
Trafficking Intervention
Research, part of the
School of Social Work."
Most
sex workers post their ads
every day- not just once,
so during the time period
that 'researchers'
(students following their
professor's abolitionist
agenda and direction)
found between 201 and 459
online ads involving
prostitution, the
likelihood of those ads
being posted by the same
persons every day, rather
than a different alleged
'sex trafficking
victim' makes this
research useless. What's
even more astonishing is
that this miniscule number
of ads falls far short of
the untold thousands of
'sex trafficking victims'
who were supposed to be
trafficked to the
Superbowl by their
evil traffickers, yet they
claim that this is a 'significant number
of ads being placed
online.' Not
unlike the FBI claims
when they run their
annual "Operation
Cross Country" sting
and manage to 'rescue' a
little over 100
'children' and 150
pimps, using an average
35 agents per each
'rescue.'
Here are the
numbers for that time
period (based on 201
ads per day, 459 ads
per day in NY/NJ and
152 ads per day and
275 ads per day in
Phoenix):

Notice
that during this
time there are nearly as many online ads
placed in Phoenix - a smaller city which was
not hosting the
sports event, yet
the entire NY/ NJ
area has not that
many more ads either
at the 201 ads per
day or at the 459
ads per day. Again,
it is highly likely
that most of
not all ads are
repeat ads every day
and not unique ads.
If the statistics
from the university
study take into
account the repeat
ads and are claiming
that these ARE unique ads, the numbers still
fall FAR short of
the estimated 10,000
to 100,000 'sex
trafficking
victims,'
and the 100
arrests of
prostitutes and
16 'rescued'
minors despite the
thousands of law
enforcement agents
who were tasked with
finding and rescuing
those 'sex
trafficking
victims'
indicates that
either the cops are
incredibly inept or
that the 'sex
trafficking victims'
got lost on their
way to NY/NJ.
Did the
research include
online ads from
well before
or after the
event? We don't
know.

The crusade
against consenting adult
prostitution parallels the
government's previous 'crusades'
against the so called 'white
slave trade,' porn, masturbation, homosexuality
and abortion that were so
'popular' with the progressives
and religious moralists
throughout the past century, as
well as its' current 'war on
drugs.' There are still
ongoing crusades against
gay marriage AND abortion although
currently the government is not
involved, only the religious
zealots/bigots who can't stand
the thought that adults might
engage in any sexual behavior
not condoned by their Bible. Hundreds
of millions- if not hundreds of
billions of dollars have been
spent indulging the
prohibitionists of whatever
flavor whose psychotic fantasies
lead them to believe it is their
right-- whether God-given or due
to the luck of their birth,
education or their election to
public office-- to control the
lives of others. Yet none of
those moral or social crusades have ever done anything to
reduce violence in society
or make saints out of
stubborn sinners, and
have instead allowed police and
judicial corruption to flourish;
destroying millions of lives,
families, communities because
those in 'charge' either have a very
selective memory when it comes
to history or don't really care
that the outcome of all prohibitions of
consenting adult 'vices'
and sexual preferences has always
been and always will
be the corruption of
those who are
entrusted with
enforcing the laws
these moral and social
busybodies impose on
the rest of us. Their attitude is "Oh, THAT!" as they roll
their eyes and dismiss
the harmful consequences
of their irrational
policies as not even
worthy of mention. And yet
they claim that decriminalized
prostitution, or drugs or
gambling will destroy the 'moral
fabric of society,"as
if the resulting police/
judicial corruption from
the continued prohibition
of those
activities was somehow 'moral.' One would think that a
justice system that
condones, permits, covers
up or overlooks
police corruption which is
inherent in the arbitrary
and selective enforcement
of 'vice' laws,
would be far more
detrimental to the 'moral
fabric of society' than
what consenting
adults do with or to each
other in private.
Unfortunately, these people
blinded by an
over-inflated sense of their
own importance do not see it
that way. And as a
result, there is no justice.
(image above left -"Fighting
the Traffic in Young Girls- Or
War on the White Slave Trade" Ernest
Bell 1910 Image left- from the
same book "Ice
cream parlors of the city and
fruit stores combined, largely
run by foreigners, are the
places where scores of girls
have taken their first step
downward..." Who
knew that Baskin and Robbins
parlors were nothing more than
dens of iniquity where chaste
virgins would take their first
step toward 'sex slavery'? )
*
These people do
not care at all about a woman's right
to choose ANYTHING (except for the
feminists who support 'choice' ONLY
if that 'choice' is abortion)- they
consider all female sex workers to be
victims- who need rescuing through the
arbitrary and selective enforcement of
laws which give government agents so
much control
over our lives and bodies.
As
Dorchen Leidholdt, a
founding board member of the Coalition
Against Trafficking in
Women - a
group which receives
over $1 MILLION
dollars per year in
donations and
is an activist group pushing
the change, acknowledges "They
have the power to pick
and choose the cases
they want to
prosecute. They don't
have to prosecute
local pimps if they
don't want to." Is
this individual completely
unaware of the consequences
of laws which can be selectively
and arbitrarily enforced? Does Dorchen Leidholdt not
know anything
of history and previous
prohibitions? OR does
Dorchen Leidholdt even care
what power such laws give to
cops to abuse and extort
those whom the abolitionists
claim are vulnerable victims?
Just ask the victims of Anchorage
Alaska Police Officer
Anthony Rollins, or of San Diego Police Officer
Thomas John Sadler,
among MANY, MANY other rapist
cops. Rollins
was a decorated police
officer who once received a
reward from a prevention organization, Standing Together Against
Rape. How
ironic that a man with a
penchant for raping
prostituteswould
receive such an award, but
it is truly a very common
occurrence for
those yelling the loudest
about 'protecting prostitutes'
from exploitation to be the
ones abusing/ exploiting us
(think Eliot
Spitzer for examplewho
during his governorship of NY
enacted stringent 'anti-
trafficking' laws to
stop the 'exploitation of
modern day slaves'' even as he
flew his 'sex slaves' to other
states to entertain him
whenever he was out of state-
which was in violation of the MANN
ACT- a FEDERAL FELONY,
and also State
Department officialRandall
Tobias- who
was in charge of enforcing the
anti- prostitution pledge for
organizations receiving US
Government funding for their
AIDS projects) .

Sex
worker rights activists realize
that journalists, politicians
and others with an abolitionist
agenda are not going to take the
time to research the actual
numbers because
they have no incentive to do
so. The
campaign against so called 'sex
trafficking' (or what we
call the "War on Sex Workers")
is the moral/ social crusade
du jour and
to write the truth about it
would be detrimental to the
career of any politician or
mainstream media journalist. In
the US Government's all out war
against prostitution, regardless
of the harm to the sex workers
or those whom the prostitution
abolitionists claim
to want to protect, truth has no place (in
their opinion, not ours).
Which is why it isn't all that
surprising when op ed pieces
such as the one which appeared
in the 'Dallas
Morning News' on
November 23, 2013, in support
of a 'crack down on sex
traffickers,' claiming that
there were "300,000 sex trafficking
cases being prosecuted every year, in Houston alone
" despite
facts to the contrary.
These
people are getting
very bold with their
lies. Thankfully there
are people out there
who call them on their
BS, even though we
know that those who
read the original
article are not likely
to go back and read
the revised version. We note
that they did remove
the 'factually
challenged' number
from the page after it
was pointed out to
them that their claim
was absolutely not
true (aka- a LIE!). Nevertheless,
those who did not see
the update will forever
after cite
the wildly inaccurate
'statistics' posted in the
op-ed piece the 'Dallas
Morning News' first
published, and like a rock
thrown in a pond, the ripple
effect of the original lie
will keep going and going
and going.
From
criminal defense attorney
Mark Bennett's website:
"Dallas
Morning News’ Credulity =
Incredibility [updated because
math is hard]"
"According
to the Harris County
District Clerk’s website, there
hasn’t been a
prosecution for sex
trafficking in Houston
since 2010.But
when people say “sex
trafficking,” they may mean
“compelling prostitution.”
There have been two
compelling-prostitution
cases filed in Harris
County this year.
Not
300,000. Two."
Hmmm,
but those numbers are
SO darn close... it is
very easy to see how they
mistook '2' cases for '300,000' Hey, when
you have an
ideological agenda to
promote, who
cares about facts,
right?
Another
excellent commentary on this
"Dallas Morning News"
blunder:
"Over 200,000 Innocent
Defendants In Houston Prisons"
Simple Justice- Criminal Defense
Blog
"Mistakes
happen? Sure. But mistakes of this
magnitude should never make it
past fact-checking. It’s
inexcusable." Scott
H. Greenfield
Indeed
it is inexcusable. And
yet the lies continue.
Do you doubt that
this is a concerted effort to
use whatever means necessary to
'eradicate' what the
progressives and religious right
call a 'social
evil'? Here is the 2013 "Prevention:
Fighting Sex Trafficking By
Curbing Demand for
Commercial Sex Acts" document from the US
Government website which
'splains it all (with our
editorial comments, of course),
and an article which shows how
the ideologically biased
abolitionists conflate sex work
with sex trafficking: (click on images to
view) It
is for this reason sex worker
rights activist must fight back
and present the actual
statistics given by our own
government. While we cannot
guarantee that the numbers on
the government's website are
accurate, numbers which are
obtained through reported
arrests and/or crimes are far
closer to the real numbers than
the ones touted by the 'victim
pimps' who need every single
'victim' they can conjure up in
order to show a real need to
continue to arrest consenting
adults for engaging in
consenting adult commercial sex.
Those phantom victims generate
funding and allow the victim
pimps to expand their 'mission'
to 'rescue and restore' adult
women who have not indicated
that they are in need of
rescuing.

WHAT:
[COMMENTARY]
The online
government resources can be a bit
overwhelming to navigate, as the
information we present here is
scattered on may different parts of
the US Government websites, and
there are many tables and
spreadsheets which offer sometimes
contradictory statistics, and in
some cases fail to note certain very
important facts. We hope to make
this information easier to access
and use for any research that
journalists, students and academics
may conduct using the information we
have put together in our
spreadsheets, graphs and charts.
Much of the material is raw data-
and all of it can be found on the
government websites with the links
we provide.
Please note
that there are inconsistencies
(not ours) in many of the
statistics, which appear to
change from one table to
another and
in other annual documents that the government makes
available online. And it does
not appear that the Bureau of
Justice Statistics updates any
of its' previous tables for each
year, meaning that some arrest
stats in their summary reports
published the following year do
not match the information in the
tables from any given year. I.E.
the 2012
Criminal Victimization Report shows a statistic of
244,190 rapes and sexual
assaults in 2011, but in the Criminal
Victimization Report FOR 2011,
it showed 243,800. We do
our utmost to use the most
recent statistics given, but it
is not clear how the government
counts specific information or
why there are disparities
between one government document
and another. Some of the
discrepancies range from just a
few (which can be accounted for
because they round off their
numbers) but in other documents,
the numbers differ by as much as 1,000 to 10,000 or
more (see chart above for
examples of the variances in
the 2012 tables).
We
also note that the US
Government does not have a
separate criminal offense
category
for 'human / or sex
trafficking,' other
than when they publish their periodic
reports. Also there is
no separate category for the
'crimes' of 'pandering' and
'pimping' within the arrests
for prostitution. In most
states, prostitution is a
misdemeanor, while pandering
and pimping are felonies. A
number of states have
re-classified 'pandering and
pimping' as human/sex
trafficking, with severely
increased mandatory prison
sentences up to life. In
places where there are not
sufficient 'human/sex
traffickers' to facilitate
obtaining government
grants to help the poor sex
trafficking victim realize
they are a victim, cops have become very
creative and charge
sex workers with trafficking
of themselves, guaranteeing
that they can keep that
federal government grant money
coming in to pay their
overtime and other perks
(begging the question, who is
the real trafficker here, if
the cops are financially
benefiting from an increased
number of victims and
traffickers- who
are one and the same????)
...

"Pimping" laws did
and do not just refer to
someone who 'sold' the sexual
services of others, but include
anyone to whom a prostitute
gave/ gives any of his/her
earnings from sex work,
including one's family
members, friends, landlord,
bank, grocery store, etc.
whether or not the money was
given to others voluntarily by
adult sex workers to pay for
goods and services that the
sex worker wished to purchase. Any
recipient of the money
earned by a prostitute,
regardless of whether or not
the recipient knew the
person was a prostitute, can
now be charged with human
trafficking and sent to
prison for decades or even
for life, and be placed on
the sex offender registry
for life. And
yet, if they are arrested
and charged with a crime,
probation sentences are handed
out to cops who rape children
and prostitutes... and they
never even bother to search
for the 89% of rapists whose
victims have reported being a
victim of rape or sexual
assault. Law enforcement
agents who rape children,
adult men and women and
prostitutes and who are given
probation or minimal sentences do not
have to register as sex
offenders. [San Diego Police
Officer Daniel Dana, among many others]
Furthermore,
when law enforcement agents
seize the money and property of
alleged pimps or madams, the
money is NOT given to the
alleged prostitute/ victim, but
is used by law enforcement to
continue the crusade against all
consenting adult commercial sex. If the
government really believed
that a prostitute was forced
to give up any of their
earnings to someone else,
why would they not return
that money which they seized
from alleged traffickers to
the alleged victims? For
the same reason that the alleged
victims of sex trafficking are
arrested?
Recently
we learned of a NY call girl who
was forced to work for the DA's
office, in order to set up the
madam known as the Soccer Madam,
Anna Gristina. "Over
several wildly turbulent
years, Rebecca Woodard went
from making thousands of
dollars a day working for two
of the city’s most notorious
madams to wearing a wire to
help bring down one of them, she
told The News, speaking out for
the first time in a
wide-ranging, one-on-one
interview... Manhattan
prosecutors insisted she
continue seeing clients
while working undercover —
and then forced her to turn
over all of her earnings and
gifts, the
sultry blond said in her talk
with The News." So, in actual
fact, the prosecutors were
pimping and pandering- the very
crimes with which they wanted to
charge the madam... and not only
were they expecting Rebecca to
continue to see the clients- WHO
WERE NEVER CHARGED WITH A
CRIME- THE PROSECUTORS TOOK
ALL HER MONEY AND GIFTS AND
MADE HER WORK FOR THEM FOR
NOTHING.....
Can
you imagine the outrage from the
public if the prosecutors had
made a victim of rape continue
to visit her rapist and allow
him to rape her over and over
again just so they could get
more evidence of the crime of
rape? In the
end, all of the evidence she
obtained for them was
inadmissible...
"Prosecutors
forced Woodard to continue
seeing clients while she
worked as an undercover
informant — but with one
major catch: She had to hand
over all of her earnings and
gifts.“When
someone requires you to do
something you don’t want to do
and then you don’t even get the
benefit of that, it’s a terrible
feeling,” Woodard says. Having
to turn over all her earnings
was crippling.
“There was a day I had $76 in my
pocket. That’s it,” Woodard
says. “I didn’t know how I was
going to pay for rent — how I
was going to put food on the
table for my daughter.”
After
more than two years of
working undercover, Woodard
finally decided she had had
enough and demanded a lawyer.
The assistant district attorney
flipped out on her, but she
didn’t hear from the office
again until 11 months later.
The news she
finally got from prosecutors
was devastating: The
recordings she had obtained
had to be scrapped because
they would be inadmissible
in court.
“You made me go through hell and
back 28,000 times, and that’s
it,” she says she told the
assistant district attorney."
NYDN 12/30/2013
Hey-
it was all for her own good.
After all, she was being
exploited by the men who were
paying her so much money, which
allowed her to survive and take
care of her daughter. She should
be grateful that they were
trying to rescue her... and
didn't send her to prison for
her own good!
SHE
WORKED UNDERCOVER FOR
THE MANHATTAN PROSECUTOR FOR
MORE THAN TWO YEARS? AND THE
GOVERNMENT AGENCY FORCED HER
TO CONTINUE TO ENGAGE IN
PROSTITUTION AND GIVE THE
GOVERNMENT AGENCY ALL HER
MONEY?????????????????
WHO IS
THE PIMP HERE? THE
GOVERNMENT!!!!! PROSTITUTION
ABOLITIONISTS CLAIM THAT ALL
PROSTITUTION IS 'LIKE RAPE'
AND YET THERE IS NO OUTRAGE
OVER THE GOVERNMENT FORCING
THIS WOMAN, UNDER THREAT OF
ARREST, TO CONTINUE TO BE
'LIKE RAPED' AND HANDING OVER
ALL THE MONEY SHE 'EARNED' TO
HER GOVERNMENT PIMPS!!!
WHAT
DID THEY DO WITH HER MONEY?

Forcible
rape
OLD DEFINITION OF RAPE TO
JANUARY 2013: The
carnal knowledge of a female forcibly
and against her will. Rapes by force
and attempts or assaults to rape,
regardless of the age of the victim,
are included. Statutory offenses (no
force used—victim under age of
consent) are excluded.
-
ACCORDING
TO THE FBI WEBSITE, AS OF
JANUARY, 2013, THE DEFINITION
OF RAPE HAS BEEN CHANGED TO
REFLECT THE TRAUMA WHICH ALL
RAPE INFLICTS ON ITS VICTIMS.
GOING FORWARD, IN ALL FUTURE
TABLES AND REPORTS, IT WILL
INCLUDE MALE AND FEMALE RAPE-
WHEREAS PREVIOUSLY IT WAS
DEFINED SOLELY AS THE
PENETRATION OF A VAGINA BY A
PENIS, AND EXCLUDED MALES,
TRANSGENDER PERSONS AND ACTS
OF RAPE BY OBJECTS OTHER THAN
A PENIS:
- Penetration,
no matter how slight, of the
vagina or anus with any body
part or object, or
- oral
penetration by a sex organ
of another person, without the
consent of the victim
The
revised definition:
- Includes
either Male or Female
Victims or Offenders.
- Includes
instances in which the
victim is incapable of
giving consent because of
temporary or permanent
mental or physical
incapacity, (e.g., due to
the influence of drugs or
alcohol or because of age).
- Reflects
the various forms of sexual
penetration understood to be
Rape.
- REGARDING
FORCIBLE RAPE, PRIOR TO
THE CHANGE IN THE
DEFINITION OF RAPE:
-
Many
states define the term "rape"
as non consensual vaginal
penetration,
rather than any coercive
sexual activity, such as
forced oral copulation or anal
penetration, or other unwanted
sexual acts. In those states
which define rape solely as
coercive vaginal penetration,
all other forced sexual acts
are defined as 'sexual
assault.' Unfortunately
these acts are considered less
'heinous' and are given less
weight in reporting such acts
and when an alleged rapist
goes to court. One such
example is that of NYPD
officer Michael Pena- whose
shocking sexual assault on a
25 year old school teacher resulted in a 'not
guilty' of the more serious
charge of rape because there
was no vaginal penetration. "A
New York police officer who
brutally sodomized and
inflicted oral sex upon a
schoolteacher at gunpoint
has not been convicted of
rape, despite DNA evidence
and witness testimonies
about the violent attack.New
York’s state law excludes
nonconsensual oral and anal
sex from the definition of
“rape”, calling them “sexual
assault” instead, the New
York Daily News reports."[ALL

REPORTED RAPES UP TO THE END OF
2012, EXCEPT WHERE THE
INFORMATION IS GIVEN AS
'VIOLENT RAPES AND SEXUAL
ASSAULTS'- AS LISTED IN
THE CRIMINAL VICTIMIZATION
REPORTS. IN
FUTURE UPDATES BEGINNING WITH
2013, THE NUMBERS WILL REFLECT
THE NEW DEFINITION]
Prostitution
and commercialized vice
- The unlawful promotion
of or participation in sexual
activities for profit, including
attempts. To solicit customers or
transport persons for prostitution
purposes; to own, manage, or
operate a dwelling or other
establishment for the purpose of
providing a place where
prostitution is performed; or to
otherwise assist or promote
prostitution.
Sex
offenses (except forcible rape,
prostitution, and commercialized
vice)
- Offenses against chastity,
common decency, morals, and the
like. Incest,
indecent exposure, and statutory
rape are included. Attempts are
included.
Disorderly conduct
- Any behavior
that tends to disturb the public
peace or decorum, scandalize the
community, or shock the public
sense of morality.
NOTE: THE CHARGE
OF 'DISORDERLY CONDUCT' TO MAKE
AN ARREST IS OFTEN USED INSTEAD OF THE
'OFFENSE' OF PROSTITUTION WHERE
A SOLICITATION CANNOT BE PROVEN
OR WHEN THE ALLEGED OFFENDER
'COOPERATES' WITH LAW
ENFORCEMENT AGENTS. BUT NOT ALL
OR EVEN MOST OF THE DISORDERLY
CONDUCT ARRESTS HAVE ANY
CONNECTION TO PROSTITUTION. THE
GOVERNMENT DOES NOT PROVIDE
INFORMATION WHICH WOULD CLARIFY
WHICH DISORDERLY CONDUCT ARRESTS
WERE INSTEAD OF A PROSTITUTION
CHARGE AND WHICH WERE FOR SOME
OTHER UNKNOWN TYPE OF 'CRIMINAL'
ACTIVITY SUCH AS VIDEO-TAPING A
LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICER(S)
BEATING UP A HOMELESS PERSON,
ETC.
- [EVEN THOUGH
'DISORDERLY CONDUCT' IS A 'PART
II' OFFENSE, APPARENTLY IT IS
CONSIDERED MORE IMPORTANT TO
APPREHEND INDIVIDUALS WHO 'SHOCK
THE PUBLIC SENSE OF MORALITY'
THAN IT IS TO ARREST THOSE WHO
COMMIT VIOLENT RAPES, SEXUAL
ASSAULTS AND DOMESTIC VIOLENCE
-CONSIDERING HOW MANY PERSONS
ARE ARRESTED AND CHARGED WITH
DISORDERLY CONDUCT EACH YEAR. IT
WOULD SEEM THAT THE PUBLIC SENSE
OF 'MORALITY' IS NOT ALL THAT
'SHOCKED' BY THOSE ACTS OF
VIOLENT RAPE, DOMESTIC VIOLENCE
OR SEXUAL ASSAULTS, WHICH SHOCKS
MY SENSE OF MORALITY BEYOND
WORDS!]
Suspicion
- Arrested for no
specific offense and
released without formal charges
being placed.
- [DO WE REALLY HAVE
THE RESOURCES TO CONTINUE TO
ARREST PEOPLE FOR 'NO SPECIFIC
OFFENSE' WHEN WE HAVE SO VERY
MANY ALLEGED RAPISTS, PEOPLE WHO
COMMIT INTIMATE PARTNER VIOLENCE
AND OTHER REAL CRIMES GOING
UNSOLVED BECAUSE THERE ARE NOT
SUFFICIENT RESOURCES TO PURSUE
THOSE REAL CRIMINALS?]
- "Eleventh
Circuit US Court of Appeals
allows false arrest lawsuit to
proceed against cops who
arrested motorist for being
up to no good." THIS 2013 ruling says
that no, the
cops cannot arrest people
based on nothing more than
"contempt of cop" or being
'up to no good...' THIS
RULING WILL NO DOUBT BE
CHALLENGED BY LAW
ENFORCEMENT AGENCIES
NATIONWIDE...
NOTE-
THE GOVERNMENT DOES NOT
INCLUDE THE 'CRIMES' OF
"HUMAN TRAFFICKING" "SEX
TRAFFICKING" "PIMPING AND
PANDERING" IN ANY OF THE 'CRIMINAL
OFFENSES' DEFINED ABOVE, NOR
ARE THERE SEPARATE
CATEGORIES FOR THOSE
OFFENSES IN THEIR TABLES,
DESPITE THE GOVERNMENT
SPENDING HUNDREDS OF
MILLIONS OF DOLLARS EVERY
YEAR LOOKING FOR THE ALLEGED
VICTIMS. THEREFORE IT IS NOT
POSSIBLE TO KNOW HOW MANY
PERSONS HAVE BEEN ARRESTED
SPECIFICALLY FOR THOSE
CRIMES.

What
did we find in our research?
Well, the
primary outcome of this research is
the number of arrests of prostitutes
over a thirty year period, which
shows a much
different picture of the actual ages
of most prostitutes than the claimed 'average
age of entry into prostitution
being 12 or 13 or even 14." Even
though we knew that it wasn't true,
we had no way to prove it other than
with our own personal first hand
knowledge of others in the sex
industry. Despite the fact that this
statistic which is quoted
incessantly by the
prostitution abolitionists comes
from the 2001 full report "The
Commercial Sexual Exploitation of
Children in the U.S., Canada and
Mexico" ( by
Richard J. Estes and Neil Alan
Weiner), those who
cite it seem not to
have noticed that the study was of JUVENILES and
that no one over 18 was included in
the study: page 92 of 260:
"H.6 Ages of First Intercourse and
Entry Into Juvenile
Prostitution" and
even worse for the real victims,
these abolitionists completely
ignore the rest of the information
on this page (pg
92) which states "...some
105,000 substantiated or
indicated cases of child sexual
assault occur in the U.S. each
year (NCCAN, 1996). The
bulk of these assaults are
perpetrated against
children 12 years of age or
younger and
nearly all (84%) occur in the
privacy of the child’s own
home. Sadly, 96% of all child
sexual assaults are
perpetrated by persons known
either to the child or the
child’s family-- 96%
by acquaintances (e.g., neighbors, teachers,
coaches, physicians), or by
members of the child’s own
family (e.g., fathers,
step-fathers, uncles, older
siblings). Contrary
to widely held belief, only
a small number of
substantiated child sexual
assault are committed by
strangers (DoJ,
2000b:29)"
Why
is it that the prostitution
abolitionists overlook the
statement from the researchers
that the majority of all child
sexual assaults- that is 96% of
child sexual assaults - are
perpetrated by those whom the
child knows and trusts? And,
according to this report,
the children who comprise
the majority of sexual
exploitation victimsare
significantly younger
than the victims of sex
trafficking- MUCH younger- and yet the lack of concern
for them by
these people who argue "Even
one is too many" and demand that all
prostitution be eradicated
to protect THOSE victims - is quite puzzling,
unless you factor in the
money that these
abolitionists receive from
their exaggerated claims of
numbers of child sex
trafficking victims and then
it all fits into place....
follow the money and you
will find the motive!
THERE
IS NO MONEY IN CRUSADING
AGAINST THE PREDATORS WHO ARE
THE PILLARS OF THE COMMUNITY,
ESPECIALLY WHEN THEY ARE
CARRYING BADGES!
That's
not to say that there are not
juvenile prostitutes- because we
know there are. And
we also know that a man who is
looking for a sexual relationship
with a minor is not going
to be seeking the (paid) sexual
companionship of adults. Not to
mention that other monitoring
agencies of the US Government say
that over 90% of
the cases of child sexual
exploitation are at the hands of
someone whom the child knows and
trusts.... not adults who are
looking to pay for
the services of children. Those
predatorsinclude priests, preachers, rabbis, imams, teachers, coaches,
babysitters, doctors, lawyers,
parents and law
enforcement agents- to name a
few. In 2012, the Ohio State
Attorney General's Office published
its findings on "Domestic Sex
Trafficking in Ohio"- and not
surprising to sex worker activists,
the report said that the number one
buyers of sex from victims were law
enforcement (page 17).
[2006
CBS story on teachers that sexually
exploit their students "Has Media
Ignored Sex Abuse In School?" "[T]hink
the Catholic Church has a
problem?... The physical sexual
abuse of students in schools is
likely more
than 100 times the abuse by
priests."]
We
included statistics for the 'crime'
of "Disorderly
Conduct" arrests
as well- but these are shown
separate from prostitution
arrests. Many states use the "Disorderly
Conduct" statutes
rather than the prostitution laws
when they are not able to prove
beyond a reasonable doubt that
someone solicited an act of
prostitution (either a sex worker or
a client). Many such arrests may
originate as prostitution arrests
but are later downgraded to
'disorderly conduct,' although there
is no way to differentiate between
those and other types of 'disorderly
conduct.' Please see the definitions
below for
more information on that offense.

The
police were obviously
arresting underage persons, if prostitutes were 12
or 13 or 14 when they began
their career, so one cannot help but wonder
how it is that so many adult
prostitutes worked until they were
in their 30s or 40s or even 50s and
60s...? According to
the "trafficking and the sex
trade" 'card'- the "average life
span" of those who enter
prostitution is '7 years'...
but there is absolutely no evidence
that this would or could be true,
unless it means "life span" of one's
career in sex work, after which one
finds other work and transitions out
of the sex industry, but even that
has no evidence of being true.
The graphs and charts of these
statistics show much more
clearly what the 'average age' of
persons in the sex industry looks
like and it ISN'T
12 OR 13 OR 14....: (in
order to be 'an average age,' one
would have to see as many babies
still in the womb or not even yet
conceived being
'prostituted' as there are women
over 40 or 50 in order to have an
'average age' be 12, or 13, or
14.... but those who make this
claim leave out that the one word
which makes more sense (even if
it still isn't true...)
they are referring to studies of juveniles, which
excluded ANYONE over 18, as
Janie Har
says in her March 2, 2013
article "Is the average age
of entry into sex trafficking
between 12 and 14 years old?" "and
the number in question is on page
92, under the section "ages of first
intercourse and entry into juvenile
prostitution,"' referring
to the 2001 University of Pennsylvania
study conducted by Richard Estes and
Neil Weiner, entitled "Commercial
Sexual Exploitation of Children
in the US, Canada and Mexico." Notice
the word 'CHILDREN'
in the title????
When
asked about the oft quoted
statistical lie "the
average age of entry into
prostitution and sex trafficking
is between 12 to 14 years old," Arizona
State University Professor Dominique
Roe-Sepowitz said "That is
statistically impossible." She goes on to
say that MINOR or JUVENILE
trafficking often starts between the
ages of 12 and 14, but
we say that given the greater
number of 16 and 17 year olds
who are arrested, that would NOT
be an average. We know that cops
are arresting very young
children- male and female- for
prostitution and there is no
reason to think they would NOT
arrest SOME of then just to skew
the arrest statistics. A few
states are now passing 'Safe
Harbor" laws which may impact
the statistics in the future
when those states stop arresting
minors for prostitution related
activity, but no states have had
such laws in the past and were
arresting minors- which is
reflected in the 32 year
statistics.

HAS THERE BEEN
AN INCREASE IN THE NUMBER OF
ARRESTS WHICH INDICATE THAT
'SEX TRAFFICKING' MIGHT BE THE
'FASTEST GROWING CRIMINAL
ENTERPRISE' ? NOT ACCORDING TO
THE FBI STATISTICS: GRAPH
C SHOWS THE DECLINE IN NUMBER
OF PROSTITUTION ARRESTS FOR
BOTH MALES AND FEMALES FROM
1981 TO 2012:
COMMENTARY:
From these arrest statistics, it
would seem that the 'average age of
entry' into prostitution is
around 25, certainly not 12
or 13 or
14 (graph B). Of course,
not all sex workers get
arrested during their lifetimes, and
some of these arrests may be of the
same individuals through the years,
but it still shows that the majority
of sex workers could not have
been 12 or 13 or 14 when
they 'entered' prostitution (Graph
A). As
noted above, the media and
organizations (such as
Polaris Project,
Shared Hope International, rely
on the continued telling of
this lie to raise money to help
the "poor child victims") which
quote this statistic leave out the
fact that the studies to which they
refer were studies of JUVENILE
prostitutes, studies
which excluded anyone over
18 from the research. Is
it any wonder why they left off that VERY•
IMPORTANT•DETAIL?
The 2001 report "The
Commercial Sexual Exploitation
of Children In the U. S., Canada
and Mexico" has
much more very valuable information
which is 'overlooked' (deliberately)
by the victim pimps. Such
information, if it were not so
blatantly ignored by those with an
agenda, changes the entire dialogue
of the issue. Yes,
"one child is too many" which is why
it is difficult to understand why
these people would leave out the 96%
of all children who are sexually
exploited - and
focus on the
possible 4% of those who are commercially 'exploited.' A
good place to start is with this
statement "The numbers
presented in these exhibits do
not, therefore, reflect the
actual number of cases of the
CSEC in the United States but,
rather, what we estimate to be
the number of children “at
risk” of commercial sexual
exploitation. A different type
of study from ours--one that
uses a different methodology
and a higher investment of
resources--is needed to carry
out a national prevalence and
incidence survey that could
produce an actual headcount of
the number of identifiable
commercially sexually
exploited children in the
United States and the
frequency with which they
engage in such behaviors." (page
10)
In Exhibit
3.4, (pg #7) "More and
Less Common Forms of CSE" [Child Sexual Exploitation]-
"Sexual Molestation of both boys and
girls by acquaintances"
•
49% of all sexual assaults
against children are committed
by persons known either to the
child or the child’s
family—teachers, coaches,
physicians, scout leaders,
neighbors (DoJ,
2000b) [and
we add to this list - law
enforcement
officers- click link to see
the list] "Sexual
Molestation of both boys and girls
by family members" • 47% of all
sexual assaults against
children are committed by
members of the child’s own
family—father, step-father,
uncles, and older siblings (Araji,
1997; DoJ, 2000b; O’Brien, 1991)..."Comparatively few
cases of child sexual abuse or
child sexual assault are
economic in nature" "Some
105,000 substantiated or
indicated cases of child sexual
abuse occur in the U.S. each
year. The majority of this abuse
is perpetrated against children
12 years of age or younger and
nearly all of it occurs in the
privacy of the child’s own home
(84%). Sadly,
96% of all confirmed child
sexual abuse cases are
perpetrated by persons known
either to the child or to the
child’s family (49%)--i.e.,
by neighbors, teachers, coaches,
physicians--or by members of the
child’s own family (47%)--i.e.,
fathers, step-fathers, uncles,
grandfathers, older siblings. Contrary to widely held
belief, only a small number
of substantiated child
sexual assaults are
committed by strangers (4%). (pg
#15)
Hmmmm....Why aren't the 96%
of children who are sexually
exploited important to the victim
pimps? Granted, it would be rather
difficult to run a moral or
social crusade when the predators
against whom you are railing
are 'pillars' of the community- the
men most likely to make tax
deductible contributions to the non
profit 'rescue' organizations. In
some cases [ such
as Jerry Sandusky pedophile coach],
the predators ARE the ones who start
and run the organizations whose
goals are to help 'at risk' or
underprivileged youth... while
helping themselves to the vulnerable
children. Mr. Sandusky's "Second
Mile" organization
was the perfect cover for finding,
grooming and sexually exploiting the
boys to whom he was attracted. And
because of his standing in the
community, no one would believe the
boys who found the courage to tell
someone what this sick, twisted
predator was doing to them.
Another such 'pillar' was Keith Brown, the
father of the Mormon musical family
"The Five
Browns." Originally
from Texas and transplanted into
Utah, The 5 Browns are a classical
piano group that features the
three sisters and their two
brothers. Dad Keith was their
manager, and for the three sisters,
their molester. He was sentenced to
serve at least 10 years. I
cannot imagine that there would be a
very successful crusade to
investigate and arrest all the
potential fathers, teachers,
priests, evangelical
preachers and
cops who are much more likely to be
sexually exploiting children than
who are seeking to pay for the
sexual services of their victims. NO ONE wants
to believe that such upstanding
members of the community could be
capable of doing these things to
children. It is MUCH easier to
rally against strangers without
names and faces who may be paying
for their predations with children.
Here's where the age "12"
comes in, which is used nearly
universally by 'victim pimps'
to claim that the average age of
entry is 12/ 13/ 14-"Children
and youth older than 12 years are
prime targets for sexual
exploitation by organized crime
units." And
so, from this, they extrapolate that
the majority of persons who are
recruited into prostitution are 12
years of age. But given that the
study was of 'CHILDREN" and
not "ALL PROSTITUTES" one must
wonder why anyone would leave out
that pertinent fact?
Why indeed? It is all about
the money. Faith based 'victim
pimp' organizations
such as "Shared Hope
International," "Not
For Sale" and the "Polaris
Project" (for example) receive
millions of dollars in
both public and private donations as
well as well as government grants.
Without hundreds of thousands or
even millions of (phantom) 'victims'
and promoting the lie that sex
trafficking is the 'fastest
growing criminal enterprise' (arrests
have been declining annually for
quite some time- Graph
C) how would these
organizations rake in the millions
of dollars? It it a fabrication that
is told and retold, regardless of
the government's inability to FIND
those victims...
And then there are the
'journalists' who take the 'child
sex trafficking' to a whole new
level- now they are not talking
about 12 year olds- they're talking
about "Children as young as
infants are sold on the
black market, wrangled
up from every corner of the
globe and herded from one master
to the next. Some of these young
girls are used as sex slaves
until they are "used up," --
after which usually ends in
their murders..." Chelsea
Hoffman... Chelsea, Chelsea-
WHERE ARE THOSE VICTIMS? WHY CAN'T
THE FBI OR THE COPS FIND THEM? IS IT
BECAUSE SO MANY LAW
ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS ARE
THEMSELVES THE PIMPS OR HAVING
SEX WITH LITTLE CHILDREN (CHILDREN AS YOUNG AS

Anyone can
find out exactly how much money
these groups receive each year,
including the salaries received by
the chief officers, by visiting this
website: http://www.eri-nonprofit-salaries.com/?FuseAction=NPO.Search and
putting in the name of the
organization. The amount of money they
receive to find so few 'victims' is
staggering (if the
government with all ITS resources
cannot find them, how
will a non profit organization find
them and then rehabilitate them?). It
would seem there are plenty of pigeons
out there willing to fork over lots of
money to help these organizations 'raise
awareness' about
the 'growing crisis' of sex
trafficking in general and child sex
trafficking in particular, even if the
'crisis' is dubious at best. Sex
worker rights organizations run by
current or former sex workers, on the
other hand, are lucky if they can
scrape together a few thousand dollars
a year from sympathetic donors,
because we are on the 'wrong' side of
the issue. There
is a great deal of money to be made
'rescuing' people who do not want to
be rescued and who do not think of
themselves as victims, but
you need to exaggerate the estimated
number of 'victims' as well as the
ages of alleged victims or people just
won't contribute to your cause. And
what happens when those sex
trafficking 'victims' who won't
cooperate with the rescuers/ cops and admit
to being a victim?
Denver
vice Lieutenant Aaron Sanchez
explains the 'problem': “Prostitutes
are not friendly. It’s not
like you’re talking to a
child-abuse victim or a
fifteen-year-old sex assault
victim who wants to cry out
and wants to explain what
happened or is just scared.
These girls just flat out
say, ‘Nope, that’s not
what’s happening.’ “We have to help
them realize they are
victims,” Denver vice
Lieutenant Aaron Sanchez
says. (His
department received a $300,000
grant to find and convince
those victims of their
victimhood... Sanchez suspects
the currently small number of
cases will increase. Estimating
the scope of the problem of human
trafficking has long been an
issue. "I
can guarantee you the numbers
will increase," Sanchez
says. "I
just don't know by how much." See
the stats for all prostitution
arrests in Colorado- which have
gone down by HALF since this
article was published in 2011, so
either there aren't all those
victims or these guys will plead
for more money to find them...)
You might
ask- what do sex worker rights
activists get out of their involvement
in fighting for sex worker rights?
Most sex worker rights activists are
volunteers and receive NO compensation
for the many hours they work tracking
down the many, many fraudulent
articles and media 'reports' on so
called 'sex trafficking,' challenging
the complete fabrications about sex
work/prostitution perpetuated by the
media and the prostitution
abolitionist 'victim pimps,' because
it is about our right to exist, to not get
arrested or punished for engaging in
consensual adult commercial sex, and
to have access to the justice system
when we ARE victims of a crime,
including when we are victims of
predators with a badge- cops who use
the prohibition of our profession to
extort us for sex, money and
information.
Yet the
prostitution abolitionists claim that
sex worker rights activists are "shills
for the pimp lobby," or
that we are actually 'johns
or pimps' using female
identities to promote
decriminalization of
prostitution without
any evidence or proof (Melissa
Farley is one of those guilty of
making such bizarre claims- because
she knows that we know she is a
complete fraud, as Canadian Judge
who ruled on the original case brought
by the sex workers to make their
working environment safer). It is all
about persuading the public that they
are working in the best interests of
'prostituted women and children' even
as they fail to acknowledge that the
majority of sex workers are neither
trafficked victims or underage. But then,
if they told the truth, they
wouldn't raise millions of
dollars, would they...? And
what of those academics and
journalists whose careers depend on
the publication of their
prevarications- why, they might
actually have to find some other group
of 'victims' who needed rescuing. (Sex
worker organization ISWFACE is a 501 (c) 3 non
profit organization -
and you can find out how much it
receives and where the money goes by
looking it up as indicated above. No
salaries have ever
been paid to any of the board
members or the officers of the
organization.)]

Statistics: Comparisons of Rapes/
Sexual Assaults/ Arrests for Rapes/
Sexual Assaults / Arrests for
Prostitution Arrests for Drug Use/
Comparison of Rates of Homicides by
Circumstances/ click here to

There
are so many unsolved crimes like
violent rape and sexual assault, with a paltry
overall arrest percentage rate
average of 10.9%,
so it seems natural that we would
include those statistics for
comparison to the number of arrests
for prostitution and disorderly conduct-
'crimes' for which the reporting
parties (the 'complainant') are the
cops who make the arrests, not the
'victims' (who are arrested,
prosecuted and punished).
Undoubtedly, one argument for the
significantly lower rate of arrests
for rapes and sexual assaults is
because these cases are more
difficult and more expensive to
solve, despite the fact that DNA
evidence and a physical description
is usually obtained from the
reporting victim. We know that there
are hundreds of thousands of
untested rape kits deteriorating in
evidence lockers nationwide,
according to a number of reports,
and if those kits were tested in a
timely manner, it could save the
lives of the very prostitutes who
are most at risk.
Detroit (MI)
Prosecutor Kim Worthy recently
held a press conference
regarding the difficulty she has
had getting to the 11,303 rape
kits which were found after the
Detroit crime lab closed, and
what has resulted from NOT testing
them. "We have usually a
woman who was raped, they went
to a police department to report
their rape and they willingly
went to a rape kit exam- so
three to four hour extensive
exam, literally every orifice of
your body is looked at and
scoped and examined- and hoping
we can get some DNA and
hopefully that produces a
trial," Worthy
said. She said 600 of the kits
have been tested. The most recent
"wave" of 200 resulted in the
detection of 21 serial rapists
among 153 test results. One of the
test kits contained DNA belonging
to Shelly A. Brooks, a serial
rapist and killer arrested in
2006. This
man killed and raped five more
women after the date on his
first victim's rape kit. Those
women he murdered were
prostitutes. We
must seriously question why the cops
are not pursuing rapists rather than
squandering scarce resources
arresting adult prostitutes for
engaging in prostitution, regardless of
how the prostitution abolitionists
view all prostitutes [as
victims]. These numbers
speak for themselves: law
enforcement agencies prioritize
arresting [victims] prostitutes
over [criminals] rapists. The
following data was taken from the
FBI Bureau of Criminal Statistics

ARRESTS: (we note that in 1987, the Hastings Law Journal reported in a well researched document "America's Highest Paying Customers" that each prostitution arrest cost $2,000 - in 1987 dollars. You can find the cost due to inflation for each year since then by searching for an inflation calculator:
- 1991- 2012 REPORTED CRIMES: VIOLENT RAPES AND SEXUAL ASSAULTS : 5,666,556
- 1991- 2012 ARRESTS FOR VIOLENT RAPES AND SEXUAL ASSAULTS: 617,336
- PERCENTAGE OF ARRESTS TO REPORTED CRIMES: 10.9%
 - 1991- 2012 ARRESTS FOR PROSTITUTION TOTAL : 1,844,060
- 1991- 2012 ARRESTS FOR PROSTITUTION OVER 18: 1,814,725
 - 1991- 2012 ARRESTS FOR PROSTITUTION UNDER 18: 29,335
- 1991- 2012 ARRESTS FOR DISORDERLY CONDUCT : 14,994,439
- 1991- 2012 ARRESTS FOR DRUG POSSESSION/SALES : 33,783,359
Unsolved Rape Cases 1991- 2012: 5,049,220 - rape victims still waiting for justice.... why? Because the police are too busy arresting consenting adults for engaging in commercial sex... What must those rape victims think of the police and the justice system that they are more concerned with the alleged victimization of adult females who have NOT filed a complaint against their non violent, non abusive clients, employers or associates than they are with actual victims of violence who ASK FOR HELP? Some may question the significant number of unsolved rapes as being unrealistic, but this is the sum of reported rapes and sexual assaults as provided in the annual FBI's "Criminal Victimization" reports for each year. We can only report what the government statistics are, as we have no means of determining if the numbers in their annual report are highly inflated or if they are a guesstimate, etc. You will find the links to these reports listed by year in another section of this page.

COMPARISON OF RATES OF MURDER BY CIRCUMSTANCES:
We've included this information because the media, prostitution abolitionists and law enforcement agents like to claim that prostitution is very dangerous. And while street workers are no doubt at much higher risk than those who work privately (because they work in a public space, just as street cops, taxi drivers and others whose work is very risky BECAUSE they deal with complete strangers but THEY are NOT arrested and put into jail to protect them from their dangerous work), from home or at hotels or brothels- it is interesting to note that the rate of law enforcement homicides is about 5 times greater than for prostitution, at least the reported homicides of sex workers... there may be more which were not counted by the cops, but we can only show what the numbers made available to the public from the FBI. There are more children killed by their babysitters than murdered prostitutes. People murdered during a rape are more numerous than murdered prostitutes. And at an even greater risk of death are those who are involved in romantic triangles- the homicide numbers surpass the rate of cops, prostitutes and children killed by babysitters combined. Except for the deaths of cops, the statistics are from the Murder by Circumstances tables which you can find on our links here: http://www.policeprostitutionandpolitics.com/database_spreadsheets.html Law Enforcement deaths are reported through Law Enforcement Officers Feloniously Killed and can be found individually by the year for each document that is available from the FBI, starting with 2001.
By the year: 1991- 2012 : [click on image to view larger jpg]
- Prostitute Deaths 1991- 2012: 232
- Law Enforcement Homicides 1991- 2012: 1,303
 - Children Killed by Babysitters 1991- 2012: 672
- Persons murdered during a rape 1991- 2012: 1,254
- Persons murdered involved in a romantic triangle 1991- 2012: 3,773
What it looks like in a chart:
(click on image to view larger jpg)
COLLEGE STUDENTS AND RAPE: Among all these statistics, the number of rapes of women attending college are NOT included, but from theFBI's 2012 Statistical Overview of Crime in the United States comes this shocking statistic: in 2006, according to the Statistical Overview (2012), there were 673,000 college women raped- which is more than the total violent rapes and sexual assaults from that year as reported through the police to the FBI.
We do not have any statistics on how many of the rapes resulted in an arrest of the rapist, nor do we know what criteria was used to determine that a rape occurred. Were these rapes which were reported or is this number a guesstimate? It seems unlikely that there would have been this many reported rapes on college campuses without becoming a media issue. If these werereported violent rapes on campus, this number of rapes would indicate that perhaps we ought to consider banning higher education for women, or at the very least, segregating students... given that this is the 'solution' we are told will work to stop the abuse of prostitutes... Shouldn't we spend at least as much money "creating awareness" for the victims of campus rape as we do for the extremely small number of sex trafficking victims that are found every year? Of course, there just isn't that much money in 'creating awareness' for other, real crimes, real rapes, REAL VICTIMS, as there is in the 'sex trafficking' crusade, so it would probably be a waste of time trying to help THOSE victims.

2012 Criminal Victimization- Real Victims VS Polaris Project 'potential victims referenced'
In order to understand the significance of the disparity in the statistics from the FBI and the "National Human Trafficking Resource Center" aka "The Polaris Project" it is necessary to look at what is considered more important by the government.... and it isn't the health and well being of EITHER 'sex slaves' OR the victims of rape and sexual assault who have asked for but do not receive help FROM their government. The government puts its resources behind the issues it deems more important. Which is why, in 2012, the police arrested a mere 15,591 alleged rapists out of the 346,830 rapes and sexual assaults (or 4.5% rate of arrest) noted in Table 1 of the Criminal Victimization 2012 document.
In the same time period, police arrested 48,148 people for prostitution, of which 657 were under 18. Minors account for 1.365% of arrests for prostitution- and yes, whenever the FBI and local cops stage one of their 'Operation Cross Country" raids and 'rescue' children, those children ARE ARRESTED and taken into custody. Yet the Polaris Project (which should be renamed the PoLIARS Project) insists that "With 100,000 children estimated to be in the sex trade in the United States each year, it is clear that the total number of human trafficking victims in the U.S. reaches into the hundreds of thousands when estimates of both adults and minors and sex trafficking and labor trafficking are aggregated." Why do they make such a claim when the people who wrote the report on which all the prostitution abolitionists base their fraudulent claim of the number of juveniles in prostitution say that it just isn't true: (not to mention that there are not hundreds of thousands of adults who are victims of sex trafficking either) TIP report 2012 says there were 46,570 CONFIRMED victims WORLDWIDE... including 'sex trafficking' victims... So where are the rest of the 'victims' that the Polaris Project claims are out here?

Sex Trafficking of Minors: How Many Juveniles Are Being Prostituted in the US? (revised in 2012) Michelle Stransky and David Finkelhor
[click on image to view pdf] from the Crimes Against Children Research Center
"There have been many attempts to estimate the number of juveniles who are being prostituted (or trafficked) within the United States. These estimates range from 1,400 to 2.4 million, although most fall between 300,000 and 600,000. BUT PLEASE DO NOT CITE THESE NUMBERS. READ ON. A close look at these diverse estimates reveals that none are based on a strong scientific foundation. They are mostly educated guesses or extrapolations based on questionable as‐ sumptions. They do not have the substance of typically reported crime statistics, like the number of robberies or the number of child sexual abuse victims. The reality is that we do not currently know how many juveniles are being prostituted. Scientifically credible estimates do not exist. The most often cited estimates on the prostitution of juveniles (also known as domestic minor sex trafficking) will be described here and their source, along with the major problems with their validity."
And it gets worse:
"Despite the fact that the General Accounting Office estimates are obsolete, current groups concerned with child welfare still use this estimate....
As this critique of estimates suggest, there is currently no reliable estimate of juveniles who are prostituted in the US. Some current estimates are based upon “gut hunches” and “guesstimates” from almost thirty years ago. Others offer definitions of sexual exchanges that may not actually constitute prostitution. Also, the methods used to create these estimates are often difficult to find, making them methodologically suspect. Organizations may recognize these problems but continue to cite such poorly calculated estimates. [um... like the POLARIS PROJECT????]
People concerned about the problem very much want there to be a number that they can cite. Because other people have cited numbers, there has come to be a “collective intuition” about the rough magnitude based on these earlier claims. But in reality there is little scientific substance behind any of them. This is not an uncommon phenomenon in social problem analysis and has been called the “Woozle Effect” (Gelles 1980). The “Woozle Effect” occurs when one writer reports an estimate based on a typically weak methodology or “guesstimate” that is subsequently cited by other writers, but without the first writer’s caveats (Gelles 1980). Estimates of prostituted juveniles seem to have taken this path:the “gut hunches” of one author and the compiling of such hunches by the General Accounting Office have seemed to provide a basis for contemporary estimates of juveniles who are prostituted, despite the fact that the General Accounting Office states that the estimates in the literature are “general perceptions” (General Accounting Office, 1982).
What are journalists and scholars to do?
It is our suggestion that in the absence of any estimates with any good scientific basis, that scholars, writers and advocates stop using the unsubstantiated estimates and simply indicate that the true incidence is currently unknown. It is very frustrating to write about a topic and not have an estimate of its magnitude, but we believe that continued citation of unsupported estimates gives them [the unsupported estimates] credibility. Even writing that “No one knows how many juveniles are being prostituted, but estimates have been made from 1,400 to 2.4 million,” contributes to the problem. It gives people the impression that these are knowledgeable estimates about the current situation and that the real number lies somewhere in the middle of that range, which it may not.
[WE SAY- IF THEY WERE HONEST THIS IS WHAT THEY WOULD DO:] For brief treatments of the problem, one can say simply: “Unfortunately, there are no credible or supported estimates about the size of the problem.” For more extended treatments of the problem, one can cite some of the statistics, but then indicate that these numbers are based mostly on guesses or extremely imprecise and speculative methodologies. It would be a good idea when citing any numbers to be sure to include the low end estimate from law enforcement of 1,400, since this is among the most recent and clearly defined of the estimates, and counters the assumption that all the estimates are large."
As noted above in the statistics for male and females for prostitution, in 2012, there were a grand total of 657 persons under 18 who were arrested for prostitution. How on earth do "657" minors become "100,000" or "300,000"? And in 2012, Colorado Tribune 'journalist' Lisa Collacott dutifully reported another whopper that "according to the "Stop Child Trafficking Now" 2.8 million children run away in the US each year. It is estimated that within 48 hours of hitting the streets one third of those are then lured or recruited by sex traffickers..." [this would be about 924,000 minors recruited into prostitution each year- apparently the estimated 100,000 to 300,000 phantom children at risk are not enough for this organization- and we note that there is not a single credible source which would back up this statistic for child runaways... it is a flat out LIE....]
Click on image above to view article online Why do they make these claims? All you need to do is look at their 990 tax returns (click this link to look up all the non profit organizations whose income relies on LIES) and see how their donations from private and public organizations increase every year that they tell those lies. Being a 'victim pimp' pays far better than being a sex worker rights activist, that's for sure! You can read more about this and the numbers that don't add up by going to the "2012 Polaris Project Crisis Calls" (click here to see the charts and tables which show that somebody has a serious math problem and can't add up their own paltry numbers).
